The most waited launch of the year, the Maruti Suzuki Swift 2011 is finally out of its wraps and the good news is that it is going to set the competition on fire.
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is launched with a starting price of Rs 4.22 lakh (ex-showroom price Delhi) for the base version to Rs. 6.38 lakh for the top trim.
In fact the largest car seller in India has kept the price of its LXi version (base) just around Rs. 15,000 greater than its outgoing counterpart.
Maruti came up with six trims for the new Swift 2011 and following is the list with their respective prices (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Petrol Versions:
New Maruti Suzuki Swift LXi @ Rs 4.22 lakh
New Maruti Suzuki Swift VXi @ Rs 4.76 lakh
New Maruti Suzuki Swift ZXi @ Rs 5.53 lakh
Diesel Versions:
New Maruti Suzuki Swift LDi @ Rs 5.17 lakh

What are the changes you see in the new Swift 2011 as compared to its predecessor?
New Swift comes with extra trim in the diesel version, the ZDi, which is just similar features wise to the ZXi ranging from twin SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt pre-tensioners, auto climate control, 15 inches alloy wheels and R15 tubeless tyres (185/65), ORVMs with turn indicators, wash wiper with demister in the rear, key-less entry, and audio system with six speakers with steer wheel mounted controls.
New 2011 Swift is longer than its predecessor by over 90 mm, the wheelbase is now 50 mm longer and the rear cabin looks expanded with 20mm leg room and 28mm knee space.
New Swift is also wider and taller than its predecessor and is of course looks slimmer and weighs 30 and 15 kg lesser for the petrol and diesel, respectively.
The new Swift also promises better dynamics (by being longer, taller and slimmer), as well as increased performance, reduced CO2 emissions besides increased fuel economy.
