Good diesel car under 5 laks on raod price

It is very hard to tell a good diesel hatchback with an on-road price below Rs. 5 lakh, because all good diesel models' basic price starts at Rs.5+ lakh
Under 5 lakh price bracket, there are only few models. They are Tata Indica V2 and Tata Indica eV2.
All I can tell you is to spend at least a lakh more and go for the all new Ford Figo.

Well I happened to get notoced that Chevrolet Beat Diesel starts at Rs.4.99 (on-road). It would be a good deal.
Don't expect much power and all from it. Because it runs in a small 936 cc, 1.0 XSDE Smartech Diesel Engine. It has only a power of 57.6 bhp @ 4000 rpm and a torque of 150 Nm @ 1750 rpm.

If you don't have any passion of riding faster, this would be good choice for your pocket.
