Polo is a better car than Swift but it's also pricier than the Swift by Rs. 1.5 lakh (top end models of both car). If you can afford the Polo diesel Highline, go for it. Otherwise, the Swift is also a great car with solid performance, good mileage and the peace of mind that comes with owning a Maruti. Go for the Polo only if you have a Volkswagen dealership in or close to your town.
i would like to buy hatch back car to go for diesel version. can i hv suggestion to buy car.. i hv mind swift, i20, ford figo, fiat punto, liva or nissan car.. bt we hv much confuse, at my city only maruti showroom available
Since only Maruti showroom is present in your city, I strongly recommend you to go for the Swift diesel. It is one of the best diesel hatchbacks in the country ion its price range and you will not go wrong with it. Close your eyes and buy the Swift diesel.
Dont shift your thoughts from SWIFT.....Proven diesel hatch, the only issue you should face would be long serpentine queue, and you may own it only after 6-8 months. If you cant wait that long, I'd ask you to go for Figo Diesel...it comes with a 1.4 Fiesta engine with reliable performance. Polo may be roomier than Swift but other than that it doesnt have any edge over the Swift. For service network I rather go for Swift diesel than a VW Polo.
