Renault Launches 'inter-country battle' for its Captur

The French automaker, Renault has launched an international contest at its Facebook page called the ‘Inter-country battle’. Renault fans around the world can vote for a personalized Captur in their country’s colors, from March 5th to 17th, 2013.



The countries include Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Britain, France, Germany, India, Italy, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. The result of the vote will be revealed on Facebook page on March 18th 2013.



One interesting news regarding the voting is the fans who voted for the winning version will be getting into a lucky draw. The lucky winner could win a VIP experience for two in a Captur at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Renault has been partnering Cannes for about 30 years.

Vice President for Corporate Communications for the Renault group, Florence de Goldfie said, “The Inter-Country Battle is a new addition to the exclusive content that we offer fans of the international Renault Facebook page. The page currently has around 400,000 fans. This dynamic, innovative activity about our new crossover supports the launch of Captur by emphasizing the model’s unique design and universal appeal.”



The French automaker had launched the Renault Captur crossover at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The 2013 Renault Captur is based on the new fourth-generation Renault Clio platform. The vehicle will powered by various engine options with CO2 emissions of just 96 g/km. The exterior styling features of 2013 Renault Captur include LED lights, matt-finish wings, and distinctive orange paintwork. The major other features include florescent highlights and a translucent finish for the centre console, dashboard and door casings.

After the vote, a real version of the winning personalized Captur will be made and put on show at various events throughout the year. The Renault Captur will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport and Nissan Juke.
