Hundai i20
Price: 5 lakh to 7 lakh
Launch date: By the end of 2013



The Korean car manufacturer, Hyundai has unveiled the facelift Hundai i20 at the Geneva Motor Show. The 2013 Hyundai i20 will be available in both diesel and petrol version. The 1.2-liter dual VTVT petrol engine produces a maximum power of 84 bhp at 5200 rpm and a maximum torque of 116 Nm at 4000 rpm. The petrol engine is mated with a 5-speed manual gear box. The 1.4-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power of 90 bhp at 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 224 Nm at 1750 rpm. The diesel engine is mated with 6-speed manual gear box. A 1.4 liter petrol automatic could also be offered.

Toyota Etios
Price: 5 lakh to 7 lakh(petrol)
Launch date: March 2013



The Japanese automaker, Toyota has launched Etios and Etios Liva for the year 2013. When compared to the previous models both the vehicles got a different look. The new Etios will be available in10 variants, out of which 5 are powered with petrol engines & other 5 are powered with diesel engines. The Etios will be compete with the Honda Brio and its top end variants will be facing competition against the Fiat Grande Punto, the Volkswagen Polo, and the Hyundai i20.

Volkeswagen Vento
Price: 6 lakh
Launch date: Middle of 2013



The German automaker, Volkswagen is working on a sub-four metre Vento for the Indian market. Volkswagen may use an engine that might be smaller than 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre for petrol and diesel respectively. The sub-four meter Vento will be based on the Polo. The Volkswagen Vento will compete with Honda Amaze, Mahindra Verito CS and Maruti Swift Dzire.

Honda Amaze
Price: 6 lakh to 8 lakh
Launch date: By April 2013



Japanese auto major, Honda is set to launch Honda Amaze in 2013. Honda Amaze would be the first diesel car by Honda in India. The Honda Amaze petrol variant will be powered by an i-VTEC 1.2-litre engine and the diesel version gets a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged i-DTEC engine. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic (petrol only). The major competitors include Tata Indigo eCS, Chevrolet Sail sedan, Mahindra Verito CS as well as segment leader Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.

Tata Manza Compact Sedan
Price: 6 lakh to 7.5 lakh
Launch date: By May-June 2013



One of the leading car manufacturer of India, Tata Motors has launched Tata Indica Manza. Tata Motors was the first company that brought first compact sedan for India. The Tata Manza CS is likely to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel sourced from the Vista. The main competitors of Tata Indigo Manza Compact Sedan will be Suzuki Swift Dzire.

Force Gurka
Price: 6.25 lakh to 8.5 lakh
Launch date: February 2013



The Indian automaker Force Motors has launched Force Gurka. The 2013 Gurkha is powered by Mercedes-Benz's 2.6-litre OM616-based diesel engine, which produces the maximum power output of 81bhp and torque of 230Nm mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The 2013 Gurkha which will compete with the Mahindra Thar.

Maruti Suzuki SX4
Price: 7 lakh to 9.5 lakh
Launch date: First quarter of 2013



India's largest car selling company, Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch facelift SX4 in 2013. The facelifted SX4 comes with new engine options, they are the petrol, CNG and turbo diesel. The vehicle will compete with Honda City and Hyundai Verna.

Ford EcoSport
Price: 7 lakh to 9 lakh
Launch date: Early 2013



American car maker, Ford showcased EcoSport at Delhi’s Auto Expo 2012 and is expected to be launched by the early 2013. The EcoSport will also come in automatic transmission and diesel engine variants. Ford EcoSport launch has been replaced by the celebration edition of Ford Figo on 4th March. The 2013 Ford EcoSport will compete with Renault Duster SUV.
