
"A manual model of the sports utility vehicle is priced at Rs. 17.67 lakh ex-Mumbai and the automatic version at Rs 19.67 lakh," M&M President of Automotive and Farm Equipment, Pawan Goenka said while launching the SUV.
Earlier in 2010, M&M acquired 70% stake of the South Korean consortium, SsangYong Motor Company.
The third generation Rexton comes in both manual and automatic versions. It is powered by a 2696cc, 5-cylinder, common rail direct injection diesel engine. Furthermore, the manual version of diesel SUV is mated with a maximum output of 165 hp at 6100 rpm and peak torque of 34.7 Nm at 1,600 rpm. Meanwhile, the automatic variant comes with a powerful configuration of 186 hp at 4,000 rpm and 55.6 Nm of torque at 1,600 rpm.
The company claims a top speed of 194 kmph. The ARAI mileage of the Rexton W is 12.4 kmpl for the manual and 11.18 kmpl for the automatic versions. At present, M&M has showcased only diesel variants the beast.
