Talking about the features, the range of standard provisions includes rear combination lamps with LED, body-colored door handles, ORVMs and bumpers, etc. Inside, the car maker has provided the bare minimum one the Maruti Suzuki Baleno's base variant, Sigma; it misses any provisions for entertainment and gets central locking, front power windows, tilt steering, accessory socket, etc; in the name of comfort and convenience. The remaining variants are amply loaded with both comfort and convenience features. In addition, the remaining variants also get key-less entry, rear power windows, electrically foldable ORVMs, automatic AC and reverse parking sensors.

Nonetheless, the multi-information speedometer display with color TFT is available on Zeta and Alpha. However, there are some highlights reserved only for the top-end variant, Alpha, including DRLs with LED, alloy wheels, navigation system, voice command, Apple CarPlay and reverse parking camera among others. The list of safety-related equipment is exclusive to only the top-end trims Zeta and Alpha, which is rather short and compromises front fog-lamps, auto head-lamps and auto dimming IRVM.

The Baleno is available with both diesel and petrol engine variants> The diesel is the same 1.3 litre turbocharged unit that you'll find in the Swift and the Ciaz, amongst others. It churns out 74hp and 190Nm of spin. The petrol motor, a 1.2 litre block that churns out 23hp and 115Nm, is available either with a five-speed manual box or an automatic CVT. The Baleno will come standard with ABS and double airbags as mentioned earlier.
