Maruti Suzuki SX4 Facelift to be Launched in India Soon

Facelift version to be launched by first quarter of 2013

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car selling company is planning to facelift their various models by 2013. The models include WagonR, A-Star, Alto k10 and some others. The great news is that Suzuki is going to facelift the Maruti SX4.



As the competition increases in car market, the updation plays an inevitable role. The Maruti Suzuki SX4 has been sold in different names all over the world. On some European markets, Suzuki SX4 is branded by Fiat as Sedici.

2013 Maruti Suzuki SX4 Sedan

Suzuki has already facelift the SX4 in the Chinese market and the car is being tested on Indian roads. As the facelift version will launch soon we can't expect much, the changes in the model are really cosmetic. The changes include a new chrome finish front grille, new headlamps and bumper. A slight change will be made of the tail lamp to give an attractive look. The new SX4 comes with new engine options, they are the petrol, CNG and turbo diesel.

2013 Maruti Suzuki SX4 Sedan

Maruti Suzuki introduced in 2007 was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. The 2007 Maruti Suzuki SX4 comes with a 1.6-litre petrol motor. In 2009, the SX4 was updated with slight cosmetic changes. The 1.6-litre petrol VVT engine comes with 105 BHP of power and 145 Nm of torque with an option of four-speed automatic transmission. In order to push its sales in the market, Maruti Suzuki introduced a CNG variant for the SX4 in 2010. In 2011 Maruti Suzuki introduced the 1.3-litre diesel engine producing 90 BHP and 200 Nm of torque.

The SX4 is the second international offering from Maruti Suzuki. The major advantages of the Maruti Suzuki SX4 is that it was influenced by European styling. SX4 has comfortable interiors and needs less running cost.

The petrol version of SX4 shows a mileage of 15.5 kmpl whereas diesel version shows a mileage of 21.5 kmpl. The SX4 is known for its high ground clearance, good value and wide service network. The price of the car will remains the same and will be about Rs.7 lakh to Rs.9.5 lakh. Through this facelift company is looking forward to strengthen its presence in sedan segment.
