The wait is getting over. At last the exploring American automobile manufacturer. Jeep announced the launching date of the much awaited 2014 Wrangler Polar Edition. The machine that got unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the early 2013 had stolen many hearts of fanatics across the American and European markets.
“Jeep Wrangler is known for its 4x4 capability on any road or trail and in any weather condition. The new Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition represents a tip of the hat to our loyal Jeep enthusiasts who are also lovers of outdoor winter activities and adventures. This new winter-themed Jeep will get them where they want to go, in a fun, new, unique – and very capable – special-edition package,” said Mike Manley, president and CEO at Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC.
The 2014 Wrangler Polar Edition comes in both two and four door options. Available in a special Hydro Blue exterior color with black interior, the all terrain invader gets special badging that implies the coordinates of Vostok, Antarctica where the temperature hit a record low of -128.56° F (-89.2° C). Further, it has mountain-inspired graphics, and a black fuel-filler door.
Additionally, the heated front seats, leather steering wheel, automatic climate control and a 6.5-inch Uconnect system with 40GB HDD pump up the rank of the vehicle.
Powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that develops 285 bhp (212 kW) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque, which can be optionally connected either to a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission, the 2014 Wrangler Polar Edition becomes a respectful machine in terms of power as well.
