BMW Unveils 2014 2 Series Coupe

German car maker, BMW, revealed its much awaited Coupe, the 2 Series, ahead of the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, in January 2014 (2014 North American International Auto Show). While revealing the product's details, BMW had also announced the price list. The 2 Series Coupe starts at $32,100 for the 228i and $43,100 for the M235i which are excluded price tags of destination charge $925.



The all new car series will replace the existing 1 Series Coupe of BMW. The 2 Series Coupe is expected to be officially launched after the Detroit Auto Show in January.



In the American market, the 2 Series Coupe will be equipped with two engines- 228i will be powered by a 2.0 litre, 240hp, four cylinder heart and M235i will be powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with max power of 322bhp. Both hearts have an 8 speed transmission coupled to power the rear wheels.



At the same time, the European market will see 3 engines equipped in the 2 Series Coupe- 220i will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four pot motor with 181hp of max power, 220d 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four diesel with 181hp of max power and M235i which spells out tremendous 322bhp.
