Ford Claims the No. 1 Rank in the USA

The American automobile king, Ford, has claimed that the company has retained the top spot in the US car market. However, we need to confirm as the official sales figures till December 2013 is not out yet.



“The great news is that we are not overly reliant on any one segment – we’re seeing double-digit sales growth in cars, trucks and utilities. The Ford brand has had more retail share growth than any other brand in the country, with our most significant gains coming from import-dominated coastal markets. With 16 launches next year, we’re looking to keep our sales momentum going,” said John Felice, vice president, U.S. marketing, sales and service.



Ford is likely to cross 2.4 million units by the end of 2013. Meanwhile, the US company is rivaling with the Japanese car maker, Toyoto. Toyota is expected to unveil the figures by January 2, 2014. Till the month of November, Ford had a spectacular lead of 396,041 units. According to reports Ford has a growth of 15% in sales compared to the previous year.
