As the price of petrol is increasing day to day, the demand for Diesel vehicles also increases. This forces the automobile giants to introduce more diesel vehicles. Even though the maintenance cost of diesel cars in India is more, people neglect the same as they realize the fact that diesel is rapid promise as the fuel of the future cars. Another criteria regarding the diesel engine is the energy produces from single unit volume of diesel is higher than Petrol.
The automobile giants Maruti, Chevrolet, Tata Motors, Toyota, Volkswagens and Honda has already introduced their diesel variants, the increase in the sale of diesel cars shows the demand of diesel engine. Now auto makers are competing for manufacturing diesel cars at an affordable price. They are introducing cars of all segments. According to the market researchers, the diesel cars will be leading in India by the year 2013.
Tata Nano
One of the car that most Indians are looking forward in the year 2013 is Tata Nano's diesel variant. Tata Motors has already surprised Indian market by introducing world's cheapest car as Tata Nano in 2009.The car earned the name as “People's car” is powered by a 624 cc twin-cylinder engine. The diesel variant is expecting a mileage of 30 kmpl. The price of the diesel variant will be higher than that of petrol variant by Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 60,000. The car is expected to be launch in the last quarter of 2013.
Chevrolet Sail Sedan
The Chevrolet Sail Sedan will replace the aging Chevrolet Aveo model. The car will be powered by 1.3-litre diesel engine which delivers a maximum power of 75 bhp and a maximum torque of 140 Nm. The Sail Sedan will compete with sedans like Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios and Tata Indigo and Honda Amaze. We are expecting the launch of Sail Sedan by early 2013.
Maruti Suzuki Wagnor R
Another diesel variant that Indian's are awaiting eagerly is Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. The car is expected to be launch in the mid of 2013. The Wagnor R is expecting a mileage of 25kmpl will be a main compete with the Hyundai's i10.
Hyundai i10
The Hyundai India who has pre-poned their plans for the i10 diesel launch in India. The Hyundai i10 diesel is likely to be price about Rs. 1 lakh more than the petrol variant, will be available at a starting price of about Rs. 4.6 lakh. The car will compete with Maruti Suzuki Swift diesel, Maruti Suzuki Ritz and new Chevrolet Sail U-VA. The car is expected to be launched in India by the first quarter of 2013.
Honda Amaze
One of the most awaiting sedan of the year 2013 was Honda Amaze because it will be the first Honda car to hit the Indian market with the diesel engine. Honda Amaze compact sedan is based on Honda Brio platform and will be powered by a 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine. Honda Amaze will be available at a price range of Rs. 5.5 lakh to Rs. 7.5 lakh.
Ford EcoSport
Ford EcoSport is powered by 1.5 litre diesel engine which delivers a maximum power of 100 PS and a maximum torque of 200 Nm. The mileage of the vehicle is expected to be 20 kmpl. The Ford EcoSport will launch the Nepal by March 2013. So we expect the car to hit the Indian market by the same time.
