Tata Indica Vista D90 launched officially

Country's largest automobile manufacturer, Tata Motors has launched Indica Vista D90 on 28th January 2013. The launching ceremony of Indica Vista D90 was held at India's own Formula 1 track, the Buddh International Circuit. Thus Tata Indica Vista became the latest hatchback to enter the elite club of powerful hatchbacks in India.



Tata Motors have officially launched Vista D90 in two variants: the VX and the ZX+. Both comes with a lot of features. The Vista D90 comes with a 1248 cc multijet 4-cylinder diesel engine sourced from Fiat, which delivers a power of 89bhp at 4000 rpm and torque of 200 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm. The car comes mated with a five-speed manual transmission has a top speed of 158 kmph.



As per the ARAI(Automotive Research Association of India) figures, the car has a pretty competitive mileage of 21.12 kmpl. The Tata Vista D90 VX comes loaded with electric ORVMs, front and rear fog lamps, intelligent rear wiper, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, front and rear power outlets, a double-DIN stereo with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, dual tone interiors, fabric seat covers, a driver aligned instrument cluster, a Driver Information System (DIS) with average fuel consumption and distance to empty display and a two-way adjustable lumbar support for the driver.

In addition to the features specified to D90 VX, the Tata Vista D90 ZX+ is loaded with a new touch-screen infotainment system featuring satellite navigation, the DIS also gets a temperature gauge, an automatic climate control system, front airbags, follow-me-home headlamps, an LED stop lamp, one-touch function for the driver’s power window and alloy wheels. When the safety features is concerned, the D90 comes with ABS, EBD and dual airbags.



Speaking at the launch, Mr. Ranjit Yadav, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, "Our customer-centred cars are backed by customer-engaging purchase experience at our dealerships. We recognise and are changing, in phases, customer engagement levels across our dealerships. With the Tata Vista D90, we begin 2013, with a journey that will see several Tata Motors' product actions through the year."

The Tata Indica Vista D90 is offered with 2 years/75,000 km warranty. The Vista D90 ZX+ will be available five colors- Porcelain White, Spice Red, Jet Silver, Cavern Grey and Ultra Violet. But the Vista D90 VX is available only in a new shade called ‘Spice Red’. While the Vista D90 ZX+ will be available at a price of Rs 6.83 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), Tata Indica Vista D90 VX will be available at a price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Vista D90 will compete with the Maruti Swift, Fiat Punto and Hyundai i20.
