2013 Low Budget Cars in India

India's upcoming cars at a price below Rs.5 lakh

Our country is one of the largest automobile market in the World. And we know that India's passenger car and commercial vehicle manufacturing industry is the sixth largest in the world. The majority sales in car market is from the hatchback segment. Global carmaker giants are shifting their focus on to developing hatchbacks suited to emerging markets like ours. The year 2013 will present a lot of low budget cars to India.



NISSAN ULC:

Nissan Ultra Low Cost car

Nissan incorporates with Bajaj and Renault to introduce an ultra low cost car, to compete with the world Cheapest car, Tata Nano. While Nissan and Renault will own 25 per cent stakes, Bajaj would own the remaining 50 percent. As per the reports, the car would be manufactured by Bajaj and the marketing would be done by Renault and Nissan. The ultra low cost car is codenamed as Nissan ULC, will be manufactured in Chakan, near Pune. The Nissan ULC Will be available at a price range of 1.5 lakh.

TATA NANO DIESEL:

Tata Nano


Tata Motors has already surprised Indian market by introducing world's cheapest car, Tata Nano in 2009. The Tata motors is going to introduce the smallest turbo diesel car in Indian market. It is expected that Nano diesel will be launched by July 2013. The cost of the diesel variant may ranges from 2.2 lakh to 2.8 lakh.

MARUTI SUZUKI A-STAR FACELIFT:



Major Indian automaker, Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the facelift version of A-star in India by 2013 March. The new A-star is called Alto in both China and Europe car market. The new A-star is quite good for travel in both the city and urban. As the A-star/Alto was a huge success in International markets, we expect the same will be happen in Indian market too. The A-star will be available at a starting price of Rs. 3.60 lakh to 4.75 lakh.

HYUNDAI I10:

Hyundai i10

The new Hyundai comes with a 1.1-litre diesel engine which will offer more power and torque. The little hatchback showed the world that Hyundai can really deliver on quality, performance and style. Hyundai i10 is expected to be launched by the end of 2013. The vehicle will be available at a price range of 4 lakh to 6 lakh.

CHEVROLET BEAT FACELIFT:



The facelift version of Chevrolet beat had been showcased at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The new Chevrolet beat will be available in two variants, the 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.0-litre diesel engine. The car is expecting at a price range of 4 lakh to 5.5 lakh, will launch in Indian market by mid of 2013.

FIAT PUNTO EVO:



After unsuccessful sales and service tie-up with Tata Motors, Fiat taking new steps to attract more customers to the showroom. As per the latest reports, Fiat India is going to introduce the new Punto Evo. The vehicle will be available in both diesel and petrol variants, will launch by the mid 2013. The expected price of Fiat Punto Evo is 4.5 lakh to 7.5 lakh.

MAHINDRA E2O:

Mahindra Reva

Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicle Private Limited has officially launched their electric car, Mahindra E2O. The electric car is codenamed as NXR. The Mahindra E2O make use the next generation Lithium-Ion Batteries, which has a capacity of powering the car for about 100 km in a single charge. Mahindra E2O will be manufactured in India's first platinum certified automobile plant in Bengaluru, where Mahindra Reva has recently inaugurated. The expected cost of the Mahindra E2O is around 5 lakh to 5.6 lakh, will be launched October 2013.
