2015 Nissan GT-R Review

A fully-powered muscle car.

Nissan has been improving the GT-R since its birth in 2007. Each year Nissan launches the updated GT-R. Chief engineer, Mr. Kazutoshi Mizuno is the head behind this muscle car. The car is renowned for its uncompromised performance and great stability even when navigating corners of a winding mountain road.



The 2015 GT-R was officially unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show, Japan, in 2013. Since then the whole muscle car lovers was behind this performing beauty. Of course, it's a drivers' car in which drivers enjoy to the fullest with better handling and performance. You should know that he GT-R is a multi-dimensional performing machine.

Exterior and Design
Once you have made the sight on the GT-R, you will stare at the machine at least for a few while. Its typicsl shape that gives us a mixture taste of both a rally racing car and a performing muscle road car. It comes with a refreshed, stunning front fascia. The black shaded center portion is the highlight of the machine when it comes from a distant eye sight. And the high-intensity multi-LED headlights which works as lightning in night patrols.The all new headlights feature AFS (Adaptive Front lighting System) that works according to the speed of the car.

At the rear, we see a sporty spoiler fitted above above the trunk of the machine. The tail end is modified with four-ring signature tail lights and dual-exhaust. Nissan has added a new body color namely Gold Flake Red Pearl, which is ornamented with microscopic gold-tinted glass flakes. Moreover, the 2015 edition gets red stripe over the low-end portion of the skirt. And the machine gets coupled with two types of sporty alloy wheels as well.

Interior
Getting into the car, a new pale ivory trim welcomes you. The machine is controlled by a leather mounted steering wheel. And the part-aniline leather seats embellished with stitched accents give a class ride. Still, you hear the noice and the luxury is limited. It's not a premium luxury car, but only a muscle car. It certainly has its limits.

Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the 2015 Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3799 cc, twin-turbocharged DOHC 24-valve V-6, aluminum block and heads, direct fuel injection heart. It generates a peak power of 545 hp @ 6400 rpm and a peak torque of 463 lb-ft @ 3200 rpm. Its engine is mated with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic with manual shifting mode.

The GT-R is a front-engine, 4-wheel-drive, 4-passenger, 2-door coupe machine. Unlike the other cars, the driver feels the power of the GT-R. Well, it's controllable even at high speeds.

The vehicle clocks 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, and 0 to 100 mph in 7.2 seconds. The Top speed of the GT-R is 193 mph.

Verdict
The 2015 Nissan GT-R is absolutely a performing muscle car. You can't avail the luxury here, but can enjoy the power of a four-wheeler to the fullest on road. It doesn't gives back you much for its fuel efficiency is 15-16 in city and 23 mpg on highway. The machine is too expensive as well. It is estimated to be priced around $100,000. So if you love power and if you have more than enough to spend the GT-R might be a good choice for you.
