After keeping the secret within its zipped lips, Hyundai has finally decided to give its word on the all new SUV from Hyundai, which is the new Tucson 2015 model.
Perhaps Hyundai decided to let the world know about the Tucson, that it decided to give away details at an exclusive event at Berlin about the car, before premiering it officially at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015.
Designed to create some stiff competition for the new Nissan Qashqai, two petrol engines and two diesel engines would give the crossover all the energy that it needs. The Tucson is based on a completely new design, and as a measure of the significance of both the vehicle and the segment, it will be called as the Tucson all around after a prolonged success in Australia with regard to the ix35 nameplate, which would however be replaced in this model.
A 1.6-liter petrol motor is made available in both normally aspirated and turbocharged structures which would give a maximum power output of 133bhp and 174bhp separately. The optional diesel line-up incorporates a 1.7-liter unit with 113bhp and two variants of the company's 2.0-liter powerplant, availible with the options of 134bhp and 181bhp models. Looking on to the interiors, the new Tucson allegedly gets delicate touch, amazing materials like those on the all-new Sonata vehicle. Leather, including a "wine red" variation, will be an alternative. With all seats up, the boot space is still 513 liters.
Though there is no word on when the Tucson would be launched in India, it is expected to be released simultaneously in September, in India as well, along with the international launch.
