The 1.5 litre diesel motor now churns 99hp, nine more than before, relatively the same as in the Figo and Ford claims the diesel powered compact SUV will run a fine 22.27Km to a litre. The two petrol units stay as they were, so the 1.0 litre EcoBoost makes 123hp and 170Nm, while the 1.5 litre motor develops 110hp and 140Nm. While the smaller petrol and the diesel motor gets a 5-speed manual box, the bigger petrol has an option of a 5-speed manual and a segment-first 6-speed dual-clutch auto. Overall Ford India, continues to offer the vehicle in 3 options. While the performance numbers of the petrol motors are the same, the diesel engine has been re-tuned to deliver improved performance. The vehicle is offered in six trims; EcoSport Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium, Titanium AT and Titanium+. The new trim included is the EcoSport Trend+ and ABS and EBD features are standard in all the available trims, except in the Ambiente trim.

The new EcoSport facelift gets signature light guides in the headlamps with daytime running lights/fog lamps. Other new features include rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps and earlier mentioned electrochromic mirror. The new EcoSport gets a new addition of a color to the current palette, Golden Bronze and the vehicle is now available in eight body paints; Mars Red, Diamond White, Panther Black, Kinetic Blue, Moondust Silver, Chill Metallic and Smoke Grey.
