The German premium car maker, Audi, has always twisted the automobile world with new and innovative technologies, especially in the form of light. Once Audi had wondered the world by unveiling the beauty of LEDs onto cars' headlights.
And this time the auto-maker is up with laser headlights. The laser lights will be first seen on the headlights of Sport Quattro concept. It's just comprised of four sporty laser-lit peepers.
Of course, gone are the days the freaks wrap off show-offs with machines equipped with LED headlight. The Audi's new arrival with laser lights is a clear sign of that.
Audi claims that the laser lights are powered by laser diodes, not just pure laser beams. This can torch a range up to 1640-foot, which is impressively twice the distance that of LED high beams. Moreover, laser diodes also are three times brighter than LED high beams.
Well, with the Sport Quattro Concept, Audi has mixed the laser lighting with its matrix LED technology. And this vehicle will be displayed at the upcoming 2014 Consumer Electronics show.
